The awesome power of you and the universe

I must admit that in recent months life, work, study and a lot lot more has taken over, and I am starting to realise just how busy life can be, if your determined to reach your goals.

It also makes me wonder how you find the balance, how is it some people can switch off and others can't ? Why are some people so motivated that they just keep going moving closer and closer to that point ?

I gotta say a big hello to my boss, who somehow stumbled across this little site, and I must say that I am glad he did, as I had actually forgot that this even existed. Too busy for everything at the moment I guess. However I have been finding time to read the books, as I believe personal development is so important to a person.

It scares me when I look around the world, and see young people with no ambition or desire in life. It confuses me how some people are happy to live on what they have, and make no attempt to better themselves.

Anway during some research into something the other day, I stumbled across a website, which had an article on the front of it. (I normally put links in here, but to be honest I am not actually sure what the site was about, so on this occasion I won't)

However on the site was this quote

"we are what we think about most; what we think about most becomes what we do; over a very short time, what we do becomes our habits; our habits form our character; and, our character becomes our legacy"  By Ken R. Arrington.

And do you know its so true, what you focus on being is what you become, and what you focus on getting the mind will help you get. It takes time for people to change themselves, apparently it takes just 29 nine days of consistantly doing something to make it a habbit, and once its a habbit, then it becomes natural, and once its natural then you do it without even realising it.

So if your not happy with the results you get or with something in your life, then look at the reasons, look at the habbits that make whatever your current reality is a reality, and then change your habbits, to change your reality.

A friend and mentor of mine, Mr Eric Avery, uses an analogy of how the brain works. (This is probably better in real life, but will try to describe it in words) The brain you see is the most powerful computer that there is. Like a computer though it needs instructions. The human brain collects, analyises and then stores a lot of information, and ideas for later use. You need to give the brain instructions, to let it go away and look through all the brain files, to find the answer.

Imagine your pc, if you turned it on and left it, what would it do ?? Nothing because you haven't told it what to do. The human brain is the same, if you dont tell it what to do, or what to work out, it wont be able too.

So how does this move over into helping us reach our goals and achieve what we want too ??? Well the law of attraction is, that we can have whatever we want, we just need to ask for it decide we will have it, imagine us having it, and then let the universe do the rest. This is a bit like when you were a kid, and you would make a wish list of all the things you want for christmas, and then imagine yourself having those things.

So when we set goals, we must set goals that are personal to us, things we want, thing we want to achieve etc. And we need to believe we have them, imagining what it would feel/taste/smell and sound like. Then we need to think about this everyday, we do this as it affirms it into our brain that we will have this item, or that we will achieve this goal etc.

Then we repaeat the process, remember this takes time, sometimes the answer isnt stored already in your brain, sometime the brain needs to find a way for you to achieve that goal or ambition.

However if you do all of the above, over time the law of attraction, using the amazing powers of the universe will bring all that you want to have to you.

So how does this tie into me ??? Well from reading my intro post you will know that one of my goals is multiple streams of residaul income, ontop of my linear income stream. (residual being a payment made on a regular basis, and linear being swaping my time for money(a wage))

So what I did was set myself a goal to have a residual income stream inplace that is consistant, and grows steadily month in and month out. This remember is an extra to the wage, so its an extra income, and its these extra incomes that seem to make such a huge difference to people's lifes, be it meaning they can plain survive in this world, to paying off the mortgage early, to being able to afford the luxuries in life, to at the top end, being able to do what you want and when you want to do it.

I would never recommend anyone quits there job, as long as you love your job you should stay. Having multiple streams of income is a powerful thing. When and only when the residual income is double or tripple that of the linear income, should anyone even consider quitting there job.

I think this is a powerful concept to grasp, as its not just about money, its about lifestyle and choice. I think to much people in this world focus on the money, but at the end of the day, the money we want is just a tool to help us reach something else.

Whilst personal development is full of a lot of rar rar motivation, I really believe in the laws of attraction, and people using goals and developing/changing habbits, to help people get what they really want from this life. And once they achieve this, thats when they will be truley happy.

This blog post, has kind of gone a little of track, however I am doing this blog for me, rather than it being a method of geting traffic, it's simply a way of me recording my thoughts, for me to look at in the years to come, as I continue on my journey.

If you have read this, I hope in some way, some of it has been useful or inspiring.
